A consultation gives you the opportunity for a one to one meeting to discuss your concerns with a dyslexia specialist.
Perhaps you think your child may have dyslexia and would like to find out more, or want some advice about how to help them at home. It might be that you are an adult at work and would like to find out about support that is available for you or have some advice about how to talk to your manager.
We are here to listen and advise you about next steps or suggest some strategies or resources that would help.

Sessions are held at our offices in Berkhamsted and last 45 minutes
Before the appointment
Parents
Please complete our primary or secondary checklist & family questionnaire
You may wish to bring examples of your child’s schoolwork and their reading book with you
Students- Post 16
Please complete our 6th form, college & university checklist and post 16 questionnaire
It may be helpful to bring examples of any essay work or feedback from your tutors
Adults- workplace

Dyslexia Herts will provide a full refund of the consultation fee if we have to cancel the appointment due to unforeseen circumstances.
Client cancellation- please let us know as early as possible if you are unable to attend for your consultation session. We ask that a minimum of 24 hours’ notice is given of cancellation or the full fee will be charged.
